Thomas McElroy built this beautiful Greek Revival Plantation Home
on nearly 600 acres and presented it as a Wedding Gift to his young
bride, Sarah Ma xwell. Lavished with numerous architectural features, it
is accented with Italianate detail, spans over 7,000 sq. ft., with 14'
ceilings, 12' doorways, 9' windows, 13 original rooms - most are 20' x
20' with some even larger, and a grand cherry floating spiral staircase.1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor's colorful past includes stories
of an Antebellum Plantation, use as a Confederate Hospital, the Childhood Home
to Phil Simms - former NY Giants Quarterback and Super Bowl XXI's MVP, a popular
Dinner Hall, and Children's Home. Today it is a nationally-recognized
Bed & Breakfast, Wedding/Special Events Showplace, Alpaca & Llama Farm,
and Handcrafted Gift Gallery.
This
working farm is stately set on 14 tranquil acres in the heart of Kentucky's
scenic Bluegrass Region (an hour southeast of Louisville and an hour southwest
of Lexington), and the home is considered one of the best preserved Antebellum
Homes in the Commonwealth.
For your comfort, each of the seven guest rooms are air conditioned and have
private baths in the rooms. Guest rooms are spacious, airy and warmly decorated.
Breakfast is normally served between 8 - 10:00 a.m.
unless other arrangements have been made.
Awaken to the delightful strains of chamber music and the wafting aromas of
freshly brewed coffee and hot-from-the-oven muffins, as the day begins with a
specially prepared breakfast served on fine china in the dining room. The
centerpiece of the dining room is a mural that was hidden under wallpaper for
years. The mural depicts the house as it appeared in 1851.We can comfortably
seat all of our guests around the main table that extends to ten feet long.

Historic Places and considered a Kentucky Landmark Home.

In the evening, relax with us under the soft
light of the elegant chandelier and enjoy a complimentary homemade dessert and
beverage. A spacious parlor/communal area filled with beautiful antique
furnishings, offers cozy surroundings for a game of cards, puzzle making or
curling up with a good book, in front of the wood-burning fireplace.
Outside you will find a large patio area set among
old maple trees. Numerous bird feeders are located near the house attracting a
variety of songbirds. A picnic table and grill are available for guest use.
Depending on the crop, guests are encouraged to pick a bag of apples from the
100 tree apple orchard. Located adjacent to our barn is our gift shop.

Enjoy our Farm - we have 14 acres which includes an Orchard of 100+
Fruit Trees, 200+ Raspberry Bushes, and a Nature Preserve. We also raise
Alpacas, Llamas, Pygmy Goats and of course cats and dogs!

or the beautiful grounds with its Flower Gardens, Wedding Gazebo, Tent Areas,
Horse and Carriage Rides, not to mention the picturesque country landscape which
surrounds this gracious plantation home.

Policies :
Each additional person age 12 and above, add $25
Children under age 12 are welcome and only $12/child/night - with advance
notice.
No minimum stay required.
Deposits: Room held with Credit Card or Personal
Check (received) - 50% deposit required.
Smoking: Is NOT allowed INSIDE due to the
historic nature of the home. Smoking IS allowed OUTSIDE.
Pets: Guest pets are permitted - with advance
notice and a $25 charge/night/pet.
Discounts available: Business Travel (2 days, 10%),
Extended Stay (5 days, 15%)
Cancellation: 7 days notice required.
Trip Cancellation Plan AVAILABLE - request when making
reservation: If you have to cancel up to
3pm EST the day of your arrival, you get a FULL REFUND of your DEPOSIT. The cost
of the plan is only 10% of your reserved room rate.

From Northwest:
South on I-65 to Hwy 245 (exit 112) left on 245 to US 150 EAST (PLEASE NOTE:
STAY ON 245 UNTIL IT DEAD ENDS INTO US 150 EAST) - turn LEFT ONTO US 150 EAST
toward Springfield, and travel 17 miles.

From Southwest:
North on I-65 to Bluegrass (BG) Parkway. Take the Bardstown/Springfield/US 150
Exit, turn right onto US 150 EAST toward Springfield, and travel 17 miles. See
"Springfield" below.
From Northeast:
I-75 South to First Lexington Exit (Airport/Newtown Pike) and bear right. Take
the first exit onto Circle 4/New Circle Road and then take the first Versailles
Road Exit, following the signs to Airport/Bluegrass (BG)/Martha Lane Collins
Parkway. Pass the Lexington/Bluegrass Airport and take Bluegrass (BG)/Martha
Lane Collins Parkway West to Hwy 555 (Exit 42). Go left onto Hwy 555 toward
Springfield, traveling 13 miles and turn LEFT onto US-150 East. Go 3.1 miles and
Maple Hill Manor will be on your right - the house sits about 1/3 of a mile off
the road on the hill, watch for our road sign, cross over white bridge and

Springfield:
US 150 EAST which will turn into Main Street Springfield. Go thru
town. At the yellow flashing light, go straight through the light and go to
first stop sign and turn right onto US-150 East. Maple Hill Manor is 1.5 miles
on the right - the house sits about 1/3 of a mile off the road on the hill,
watch for our road sign, cross over white bridge and follow the drive up the

From Southeast:
North I-75 to Mt. Vernon US 150 WEST to Perryville then 12 more miles. Watch for
the Springfield Water Tower on your left - we are very close to this tower.
